Arizona Columbine Garden Club, a member of The Garden Club of America, is a small garden club with 35 active members and a total of 70 members in the Phoenix area. 

Our purpose is to stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening, aid in the protection of native trees, plants and shrubs, and restore, improve and protect the quality of the environment through programs and action in the fields of conservation, civic improvement and education.

HISTORY

1946 First meeting called to order in October by founder Carmela Creighton in Phoenix

1989 • Became a member of The Garden Club of America

1999 • Received nonprofit corporation status

2018 • Added “Arizona” to its club name 

2022  Celebrated its 75th Anniversary

What We Do 

The Arizona Columbine Garden Club promotes education for its members, appreciation for creativity and natural beauty, advocacy for community projects, environmental awareness and the preservation of natural resources in the Sonoran Desert.
